Robert E. Pollock (March 2, 1936 – August 28, 2018) was a Canadian-American experimental nuclear physicist, accelerator physicist, and plasma physicist. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Manitoba in 1957 and earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1962. Pollock worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Atomic Energy Research Establishment in Harwell before becoming an assistant professor at Princeton University. He later became a professor at Indiana University, where he directed the cyclotron department and was named Distinguished Professor in 1984. He was a prominent researcher in the development of accelerators and nuclear physics.
