Robert Gleinert is a German canoeist born on May 15, 1989, in Neuss. He competed for RKV Berlin and became World Champion in 2011 as part of the K4 team over 1000 m. Prior to that, he won a silver medal at the 2011 European Championships in the same event. Gleinert also achieved second place in both 500 m and 1000 m K2 events at the 2010 U23 European Championships. He has been training as a police officer with the German Federal Police since September 2013 and is affiliated with the Federal Police Sports School in Kienbaum.
