Sir Robert Goodwill, born on December 31, 1956, is a British politician and farmer who has served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Scarborough and Whitby since 2005. He was previously a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Yorkshire and Humber. Goodwill held ministerial roles in the Home Office, Department for Education, and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs during Theresa May's government. He is a member of the Conservative MPs' Cornerstone Group and identifies as a strong skeptic of the European Union, although he supported remaining in the EU referendum.
