Robert Hillary King, born May 30, 1942, is an American former inmate known as a member of the Angola Three, who were imprisoned in solitary confinement at Louisiana State Penitentiary for decades due to murder convictions in 1973. Originally sentenced for armed robbery, he spent 32 years in prison, 29 of which were in solitary. His conviction was overturned in 2001, and after accepting a plea deal, he was released the same year. King, a co-founder of the Black Panther Party's Angola chapter, is the last surviving member of the Angola 3.
