Robert Colin Holmes was a British television scriptwriter known for his significant contributions to popular British TV shows over a 25-year career. He is most famous for his work on the science fiction series Doctor Who, where he served as a script editor from 1974 to 1977. Holmes faced health challenges in the early 1980s and passed away in May 1986. At the time of his death, he was engaged in writing scripts for Doctor Who's second and final Sixth Doctor season, with some of his works being released posthumously in late 1986.
