Robert Kurvitz is an Estonian novelist, video game designer, and musician, born on 8 October 1984. He is best known as the lead writer and designer of the critically acclaimed 2019 video game Disco Elysium. Kurvitz was a founding member of the ZA/UM cultural association and the video game development company that emerged from it. However, he left ZA/UM in 2022 due to conflicts with Estonian investors who acquired a majority stake in the company.
