Robert B. Neller is a four-star general in the United States Marine Corps, born in 1953 in East Lansing. He became the 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps in September 2015, succeeding Joseph Dunford. Prior to this position, he served as the head of U.S. Marine Forces Command. Neller is one of seven members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who provide counsel to the President of the United States and the Department of Defense.
