George Robert Stănescu, born on January 17, 1985, in Bucharest, is a notable Romanian artistic gymnast recognized for his specialization in still rings. He won a European bronze medal as part of the team and reached the finals in the still rings event at the 2008 Olympic Games. Additionally, he secured fourth place in the still rings final at the 2009 World Championships. After moving to Canada in 2010, he started coaching gymnastics and co-founded the Alpha Gymnastics Academy in 2013. He obtained Canadian citizenship in 2014 and joined the Canadian national team.
