Robert Walter Parry was an American chemist known for his work in inorganic chemistry. He earned his bachelor's degree from Utah State University in 1940, followed by a master's degree from Cornell University in 1942, and a PhD from the University of Illinois in 1946. Parry worked in munitions development during World War II and later became a Distinguished Professor at the University of Utah. He was also the founding editor of Inorganic Chemistry and received several awards, including the Priestley Medal in 1993. He passed away on December 1, 2006.
