José Roberto Alejos Cámbara is a Guatemalan politician who served as the President of the Congress of Guatemala from 2009 to 2011. He was a member of the National Constituent Assembly in 1982, contributing to the current Guatemalan Constitution. Alejos has been a congressional deputy during three periods: 1986-1991, 2008-2012, and 2012-2016. He was a presidential candidate in 2011 for the Todos party but withdrew due to disagreements and political circumstances. He currently leads the political association Caminemos, aimed at fostering new political leadership.
