Roberts Mikelsons, known as the 'Riga Monster', is a Dutch criminal of Latvian origin, born on September 14, 1983, in Riga. He was sentenced in 2012 to 18 years in prison and lifelong psychiatric treatment for the sexual exploitation of 67 children and for producing and distributing child pornography. His crimes spanned from February 2007 to January 2010, with victims none older than 2.5 years, and the youngest being just 19 days old. He had previous convictions in Latvia for similar offenses.
