Robin Llwyd ab Owain, born in June 1958, is a Welsh poet like his father, Owain Owain. He gained recognition when he won a chair at the 1991 Eisteddfod with his poem 'Merch Ein Amserau' ('Daughter of Our Times'). In December 1996, he became the first writer to publish his poetry in the Genrouedad: Rhedeg ar Wydr (Running on Glass). Residing in Ruthin, he has written several songs, some performed by Bryn Terfel. He served as the mayor of Ruthin for a year between 1990 and 1991.
