Robin McKenzie was a New Zealand physiotherapist renowned for developing the McKenzie Method of diagnosing and treating spinal disorders. After graduating in 1952, he began his private practice in Wellington and built a worldwide reputation in the 1960s. His method is one of the most researched systems for treating spinal complaints, and he authored several patient-centered books. In 1982, he helped establish the International McKenzie Institute, and was recognized for his contributions with multiple honors, including being named an honorary member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
