Rod MacPherson is a former Australian rules footballer born on September 21, 1963. He played with Footscray and the Brisbane Bears in the VFL, debuting in 1982. A utility player, he averaged 19 disposals in 1986 but suffered a serious knee injury that led to surgeries. He played his last VFL season in 1987 and went on to coach the Bendigo Pioneers from 2000 to 2004.
