Rodney Philip Hide, born on 16 December 1956, is a former New Zealand politician associated with the ACT New Zealand party. He served as a Member of Parliament from 1996 to 2011 and was the party leader from 2004 to 2011, representing the Epsom constituency. During the Fifth National Government, he held multiple ministerial roles, including Minister of Local Government and Associate Minister of Commerce. Hide stepped down as leader in April 2011 following a challenge and retired from Parliament after the general election that year.
