Alan Rodney 'Rod' Mandelstam is a former South African tennis player born on April 8, 1942. He achieved notable success by winning the 1960 Wimbledon Boys' Singles title. Additionally, he represented South Africa at the 1961 Maccabiah Games held in Israel, where he secured a gold medal in mixed doubles and a silver medal in men's doubles. Mandelstam also played collegiate tennis for the Miami Hurricanes at the University of Miami, which later honored him with an induction into the University of Miami Hall of Fame.
