He was a pioneering figure in the Argentine rock scene of the 1960s, co-founding the influential band Almendra alongside notable musicians like Luis Alberto Spinetta, Edelmiro Molinari, and Emilio del Guercio. He later performed as the drummer for Aquelarre, another significant band in Argentine music history. Following Aquelarre, he established the band Tantor with Héctor Starc and Machi Rufino. García passed away on May 4, 2021, in Buenos Aires.
