A member of the diplomatic career since 1977, he has worked in various capacities in countries like Ghana, the Philippines, the United States, and South Africa, and was also a cultural advisor in Buenos Aires. Prior to his ambassadorship, he held significant roles including consul in Chicago and deputy chief in Buenos Aires.
