Roger John Boon was a New Zealand rugby union player known for his position as a hooker. Born on 23 February 1935, he played for Taranaki and was part of the All Blacks during their 1960 tour of South Africa, where he filled in for the injured Ron Hemi. Boon played six matches on this tour but unfortunately suffered an injury that cut his first-class rugby career short. Although he didn't play in any Test matches, he participated in a tour match against Rhodesia. He later served as the selector coach for the Wanganui team from 1982 to 1984.
