Roger Bourdin (1923-1976) was a renowned French flutist and music educator. He studied under Jacques Chalanda and Fernand Caratgé, earning first prize for flute at the Conservatoire de Paris in 1939. Bourdin was a professor of flute at the Versailles Conservatory from 1943 until his death. He served as the solo flutist for Concerts Lamoureux and the Orchestre de chambre de Versailles. In 1945, he founded the Quatuor de flûtes and later established the Trio de Versailles. Notably, Bourdin performed in recordings by prominent composers and participated in the hit song 'Il est cinq heures, Paris s’éveille.'
