Roger Gibbins was a Canadian political scientist and professor at the University of Calgary. He served as president of the Canadian Political Science Association during the 1999/2000 term. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Alberta Order of Excellence in 2013, the highest civilian honor in Alberta. Gibbins was also a member of the Royal Society of Canada, highlighting his reputation and influence within the Canadian academic community.
