He is known as a serial entrepreneur and was the founder and CEO of Informix Corporation, later becoming part of IBM. Sippl also co-founded and chaired Vantive Corporation, as well as founded and served as CEO of Visigenic. He has led these companies to go public and currently leads Elastic Intelligence in Menlo Park, California.
