Roger Owen was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played primarily as a prop. He had a notable career starting with Llanelli RFC before moving to New Dock Stars RFC, and later switched to rugby league with St. Helens. During his time with St. Helens, he represented Wales twice. Owen made a total of 24 matches for Llanelli and 44 appearances for St. Helens, where he scored four tries. After retiring from professional rugby, he returned to Llanelli and worked for a tunnelling company.
