Roger Frederick Sainsbury, born on October 2, 1936, is a retired Anglican bishop who served as the second area Bishop of Barking from 1991 to 2002. He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge, and started his ministry as a curate at Christ Church, Spitalfields. His roles included missioner at Shrewsbury House in Liverpool, Warden of the Mayflower Family Centre, Vicar of Walsall, and Archdeacon of West Ham. In retirement, he acts as an assistant bishop in the Diocese of Bath and Wells.
