Roger Lee Sisson was an American early data processing pioneer born on June 24, 1926. He contributed to Project Whirlwind at MIT, co-founded one of the first consulting firms for electronic data processing, and published influential works in the field. Sisson earned his M.S. in electrical engineering in 1950 and authored notable books such as 'The Management of Data Processing.' He was also a contributor to early computer periodicals, notably 'Data Processing Digest.' Sisson passed away on January 22, 1992.
