Roland Stephen Owie is a Nigerian politician from Ilobi village in Edo State. He was elected as Senator for the Edo South Senatorial District during the inception of the Fourth Republic on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform, taking office on 29 May 1999. Owie served as the pioneer chief whip of the Senate, collaborating closely with President of the Senate Chuba Okadigbo. Before his senatorial role, he was elected to the House of Representatives in 1979. In the Senate, he held positions on several committees including Power & Steel and Agriculture.
