Rolv Rommetveit is a Norwegian mathematician, physicist, and businessman, born on August 28, 1952, in Bergen. He founded eDrilling in 2008, where he currently serves as CTO. Rommetveit holds a Master's degree in Physics and a PhD in Mathematics. He served as Research Director in Boring and Well Technology at Sintef from 2004 to 2008 and was SVP of Petroleum at IRIS from 2000 to 2004. He has published over 70 articles on drilling and well technology and received the Drilling Engineering Award in 2014.
