Ron Daws (1937-1992) was an accomplished American runner known for competing in the 1968 Summer Olympics marathon and winning at the 1967 Pan-American Games. He quickly made a name for himself in local Minnesota races, often placing among the top three alongside friends Steve Hoag and Jim Berka. Daws had a notable career but faced personal challenges, including a divorce from Lorraine Moller and later marriage to Mary Hanson. After his untimely death from a heart attack, a 25K race in Minneapolis was renamed in his honor.
