Ron Roddan (1931–2023) was a prominent British athletics coach known for his work with Olympic sprinter Linford Christie, whom he began coaching in 1979. Initially a civil service laboratory assistant, Roddan had a background as a sprinter in the 1950s and 1960s. Over his career, he coached over 30 athletes for the British team. Roddan defended Christie against drug allegations, stating such claims were unfounded. He received several coaching awards, including London's Performance Coach of the Year in 2011, before passing away at the age of 91.
