Ronald Victor Scruby, known as Ron, was a prominent Anglican priest who served as Archdeacon of the Isle of Wight and later Archdeacon of Portsmouth. Born on December 23, 1919, he studied at Trinity Hall, Cambridge before serving in World War II. He was ordained in 1949, held various clerical positions, and became notably the Vicar of Eastney and Rural Dean of Portsmouth before his Archdeacon roles. He retired in 1986 and passed away on January 31, 2011.
