Ronald Allan Morse, born on June 9, 1938, is an American author, government official, journalist, inventor, and professor. He was born in New York and is a former official of the Department of Defense, State Department, and Department of Energy. He is known as an authority on U.S.-Japan relations and is the English translator of Kunio Yanagita's "Tono Monogatari." Additionally, he is credited with the invention of masks used for dealing with the novel influenza virus and serves as a senior advisor for Ace International Japan.
