Ronald A. Sandison was a British psychiatrist and psychotherapist known for his groundbreaking research on the use of LSD in psychotherapy during the 1950s and 60s. He worked primarily at Powick Hospital in Worcestershire before contributing to the establishment of a university medical school in Southampton. In the 1970s, he returned to his Shetland Isles roots, focusing on psychotherapy, and later specialized in psychosexual medicine. Sandison passed away in 2010 at the age of 94 and was buried in Ledbury, near Malvern.
