Ronald Brown was the Suffragan Bishop of Birkenhead from 1974 to 1992. He was educated at Durham University and served various roles including vicar of Whittle-le-Woods and St Thomas' in Bolton, as well as rural dean of Ashton-under-Lyne. After retiring, he continued as an assistant bishop in the Diocese of Liverpool until 2003. Brown lived in Chester and passed away in June 2019 at the age of 92.
