Ronald 'Ron' Duane Severa is an accomplished American water polo player, born on August 13, 1936. He competed in the 1956 and 1960 Summer Olympics, finishing fifth and seventh, respectively. Severa attended Compton College and the University of Southern California, where he was a water polo team member. He earned gold in the 1959 Pan American Games and silver in 1963. His legacy was recognized with inductions into the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame in 1977 and the USC Hall of Fame in 2007.
