Roozbeh Zarrinkoob is an Iranian researcher specializing in the history of ancient Iran, born on December 17, 1967, in Tehran. He is an assistant professor in the history department at the University of Tehran and a member of the Supreme Scientific Council of the Encyclopedia of Islamic Culture. Zarrinkoob won the first round of the 'Sa'ei Mashkoor' award for his thesis titled 'Changes in the Eastern Borders of Iran from the Achaemenids to the Sassanids.' He is the nephew of Abdolhossein Zarrinkoob and the son of Hamid Zarrinkoob.
