Rosario Parmegiani was an Italian water polo player born in Naples on March 12, 1937, and passed away in Genoa on June 13, 2019. He competed in the 1950s and 1960s, winning a gold medal in water polo at the 1960 Rome Summer Olympics. Four years later, he finished fourth in the same event at the Tokyo Olympics. His accolades also include silver and gold medals in the Mediterranean Games in 1959 and 1963, respectively. After retiring from competitive play, he became a coach for various Italian water polo teams.
