Rosen Mateev is a Bulgarian football player and coach. He is currently the head coach of PFC Shumen 2001. Born on March 25, 1961, he graduated from the children's and youth school in Shumen, where he played as a goalkeeper. As a coach at the academy, he won bronze medals in the national championship for children. He has also served as the head coach for the men's teams of Devnya, Shumen, and Svetkavitsa. In the 2005/06 season, he took over as head coach of FK Shumen after replacing Ivan Tankov due to poor results.
