Rosina de Pèira was a traditional Occitan singer born as Rosina Saurina in 1933 in Havars, near Toulouse, France. Known as the 'Umm-Kulthum of Occitania', she sang songs reflecting Occitan claims during the 1970s, often performing with her daughter Martina. She co-founded the Occitan record label Revolum and traveled to Morocco and Japan. De Pèira's influence in promoting Occitan culture through music earned her notable accolades, including two international awards from the Académie Charles-Cros. She passed away in 2019.
