Ross Davenport (born May 23, 1984, in Belper, Derbyshire) is a former English swimmer known for his prowess in freestyle events. He gained recognition by winning a gold medal in the 200 m freestyle at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and also achieved a silver medal with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. Davenport participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, competing in both the 200 m freestyle and relay events. He won another silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. He studied at Loughborough University and has a brother who is also a swimmer.
