Roswitha Beier (born December 22, 1956, in Riesa) is a retired German swimmer who specialized in butterfly events. She competed for East Germany during the 1970s and participated in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, winning silver medals in both the 4x100 meters medley relay and the 100 meters butterfly. Beier also has a silver medal from the 1973 World Swimming Championships and won a national championship in the GDR in the 100 meters butterfly that same year. She retired after failing to qualify for the 1974 European Championships.
