Roy Nelson was a notable American cartoonist and caricaturist born on May 17, 1905. His artistic talent was evident from a young age, leading him to the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. He worked for the Chicago Daily News for over 14 years and contributed to Esquire magazine. Nelson also produced artwork for Walt Disney Studios and created a daily cartoon strip. Sadly, after a successful career, he was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away on September 14, 1956.
