Ruben Edera Ecleo, Sr. (December 9, 1934 - December 20, 1987) was a Filipino politician and founder of the Philippine Benevolent Missionaries Association, Incorporated (PBMA, Inc.) in 1965. He served as the mayor of Dinagat, Surigao del Norte, for 24 years from 1963 until 1987. Ecleo was also known for his religious leadership within PBMA and was believed by followers to possess healing powers. His son faced legal issues, including allegations of corruption and parricide. Under his leadership, the organization grew to approximately 3.5 million members by 2002.
