Rufus Amis was an American entrepreneur known for co-founding and serving as CEO of Aero Design and Engineering Company, which created the Aero Commander, one of the first twin-engine planes for private use in the US. Notably, an Aero Commander was designated as Air Force One for President Dwight Eisenhower. Additionally, he co-founded and became President of Missouri Valley Machinery Company, a Caterpillar equipment dealer, and played a critical role in the development of Bellevue College in Nebraska.
