Rui Kodemari (born March 17, 1956) is a Japanese novelist, poet, and essayist. She began her literary career as a poet with the publication of her poetry collection 'I Want to Sing to My Loved One' in 1982 under the pseudonym Kaori Kawadaki. In 1995, she transitioned to novel writing with 'Tamatebako.' Throughout her career, she gained popularity for her romantic novels such as the 'I Only Want You' series, 'Love Returned to the Sea,' and 'Where the Sky Meets the Sea.' She has also authored picture books, essays, and children's literature.
