Lars-Erik Rune Holmén, born on August 5, 1945, in Föglö, is a former Finnish long-distance runner and current coach. He represented IF Ålandia and HIFK during his athletic career. His best year was 1971 when he won the Finnish Championship in the 5,000 meters with a record time of 13:43.6. He reached the finals in the 1971 European Championships in Helsinki, finishing twelfth. Holmén is married to Nina Holmén, a gold medalist in the 3,000 meters at the European Championships, and he coached their son Janne Holmén, who won the marathon in 2002.
