Ruriko Kubō is a Japanese pop-rock singer born on April 21, 1969, in Kōbe, Japan. She began her music career in 1990 and gained popularity in the Japanese music scene. In 2001, she took a break from her career to marry Keiichi Miyako, the keyboardist of the rock band SOPHIA, with whom she has two children. In 2010, she returned to performing with a few concerts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her debut and expressed an interest in gradually resuming her music career.
