He serves as the head priest of Fukujuzan Jigenji Temple in Akiu, Taihaku-ku, Sendai. He is recognized as a distinguished practitioner of the Omine Thousand-Day Pilgrimage, holding the title of Daikyoumitsu Daikōjiri.
