S. K. Kharventhan is an Indian politician and lawyer born on May 10, 1948. He began his political career at the age of 18 in 1968 and was mentored by former Chief Minister K. Kamaraj. He served as a member of the 11th Lok Sabha from 1996 to 1998 representing the Tamilmannila Congress party and later as a member of the 14th Lok Sabha from 2004 to 2009 representing the Indian National Congress. Known for raising 1177 questions, he was a top performer in the Lok Sabha and is currently the head of the BJP OBC Morcha in Tamil Nadu.
