Sabás Magaña García was a Mexican bishop born on January 24, 1921, in Morelia, Michoacán. He was ordained as a priest on September 23, 1944. On December 30, 1968, he was appointed as the bishop of Matamoros by Pope Paul VI, who also consecrated him on January 6, 1969, with notable co-consecrators. Magaña García served in this capacity until his passing on November 7, 1990.
