Mehmet Sabri Koz, born on September 11, 1950, in Sivas, Turkey, is a prominent Turkish folk scientist, writer, and educator. He graduated from Sivas İlköğretmen Okulu and later from İstanbul Eğitim Enstitüsü. He taught in Kahramanmaraş and Istanbul, eventually retiring in 1997. Koz published several articles in various folklore-related journals and encyclopedias and authored numerous children's books under aliases. He is married to Zeliha Şükran Koz and has two children. His son passed away in 2012, while his daughter works as an archaeologist.
